High Standard Supermatic Citation Year Manuals On ItHe passed away 8 years ago and never gave me any info nor manuals on it.It needs a couple parts replaced but Im not sure of the correct model number.
Serial ML 03467. Any info you can get-year of production, model ( 107,106 etc) and possibly value would be greatly appreciated. It looks like the military model due to the rear sights but does not have the fluted barrel. The holes on the bottom of the barrels are for barrel weights. The 9242 was the 5.50 bull barrel version and the 9243 was the 7.25 fluted barrel version. ![]() Any idea as to the value or do you need more pictures for that Bob. ![]() Bob I couldnt get the second link to open to see what some thought it was worth. The New haven plant burned during the war but the Hamden plant burned after the company had moved to East Hartford in 1977. The Deterioration in finish began ten years before the move to East Hartford. Dances book claims superiority of the Hamden guns but mechanically they is no real difference. The military grip target pistols have the rear sight mounted to the frame with a bridge or to the barrel with a rib. The slant grip target models also rad ribs but otherwise the rear sight was mounted to the slide except for the 8.00 and 10.00 barrels where the rear sight was mounted at the rear of the barrel. The slides were selected for optimal fit and numbered to the frame so the movement of the slide was minimal. There was a lot of records set with the slant grip pistols High Standard is no longer in business making pistols.
